A local dentist and passionate fisherman, Said offered me the place to bring this dream to life.

I’m Jamal, and before building this place, I was on a completely different path.
I studied electrical engineering, thinking my future would be filled with circuits, cables, and neatly calculated equations.
But then I moved to Taghazout… and life quietly switched me to a different frequency.
What was meant to be a short break became more than five years living next to the ocean — years that taught me that surfing isn’t just a sport.
It’s connection.
To people.
To nature.
To yourself.
During my time in Taghazout, I taught surf lessons, managed Hashpoint Surf Camp, and hosted travelers from every corner of the world. I learned how to welcome people, how to build comfort, and how to create a space where everyone feels part of something — not just a guest checking in.
After all those years, one thing became clear:
I wanted to build a surf experience with soul.
